Expectation: Swimmers are required to have their swimsuit and goggles with them and be ready to swim. Coaches will evaluate each swimmer's ability based on age and swimming background.
Outcome: Swimmers will be evaluated and will begin training with the group the coach feels is in line with the ability demonstrated during the evaluation. The parent or guardian will be given the swim group assignment, registration information, and swim groups and fees information at the completion of the evaluation. They will be invited to register immediately and start practicing with the group assigned upon completion of registration.
Notice: CAC offers competitive, year round swim for those interested in competitive swimming. Some programs, however, are designed to offer the development of swimmers to prepare for competitive swim, or to provide supplemental workouts to enhance and improve overall physical and mental fitness to aid other activities. All swim groups require participation in the form of involvement and support on the parent’s part. Coaches will be at each tryout to answer questions about training groups, fees, and the expectations of the swimmers.

CAC Fee Policy
Practices will begin on September 4th, 2023, and run through August 9, 2024, for all groups. Please see the practice schedule for details. Each member must pay, as determined by and within the time and on the conditions set by, the executive committee, a registration fee, and any monthly and/or annual fees to be determined and in amounts to be fixed from time to time by the executive committee.
Registration Fees: A CAC registration fee and a MD Swimming registration fee (total of $40) is required for all swimmers once per year (September – August). These fees are payable at the time of registration and are nonrefundable. There is no discount of these fees for multiple children in a family.
Program Fees: Program fees are payable at the time of registration. Registration is completed online. Members are encouraged to pay in full at the time of registration and must use a credit or debit card. Checks will not be accepted.
Cancellation /Refund Policy: I understand that after registration is finalized with Calvert Aquatics Club, I have committed to Swim and am responsible to make the effort to attend all the scheduled practices. Refunds in the event of military relocation will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis, when notification is given to the Executive Committee.
Swim Meet Fees: There is a $15.00 surcharge for each swimmer participating in a swim meet. This CAC surcharge is necessary to offset the cost associated with the coaches’ time and transportation.
Meet entry fees: These are charged on a per-event basis depending on the meet notice for each meet our team attends. A credit card or checking account (ACH) must be kept on file and all charges for the month will be automatically paid on the last day of the month or throughout the month. Meet entry fees are not refundable under any circumstances except cancellation of the meet by the host team. This includes any timeline changes for the meet if it is approved by MD Swimming or any other LSC.
Credit: If a credit is issued, it must be used before the end of each swimming year September 1st – July 31st, no refunds will be issued. If an extreme circumstance arises, such as a broken bone, severe illness, or significant family emergency, please notify your coach immediately. For injuries/illnesses, please follow the policy for returning to swim.
Every swimmer enrolled in the program may receive a credit toward the next month if 50% or more of practices have been missed consecutively within a month due to Injuries, illnesses, and significant family emergencies. The credit will be 25% of the monthly fee that can be used toward the next month (within the current swimming year).
Installment Payment Plan: Year-Round program fees can optionally be paid in monthly installments. The first installment is due at registrations and subsequent installments are due according to the table below. If you choose the installment plan, you must keep a credit card or checking account (ACH) on file and allow the payment to be automatically charged to your account. By choosing an installment plan, you are committing to payment in full, for the full amount. Registration Fee is due at the time of registration.
Family Discount: CAC offers reduced fees for families with multiple members registered in the year-round programs. We give a $100 discount for 2 athletes, $200 for three athletes, $300 for four athletes, and $400 for five athletes. If using an Installment Plan, the family discount is calculated and deducted at the time of registration. Monthly memberships are not eligible for the family discount.
